I came into the course as a complete beginner with absolutely no background in any modeling software, engineering, or manufacturing. The weekly courses were easy to follow, provided a lot of useful context and tips, and had a very smooth learning curve. After a few lessons, I was designing things in CAD with lighting fast efficiency. This course was exactly what I needed to make some of the complex hobbyist designs in my head turn into a reality that I can work through and complete in hours, not days. One of the main benefits of the class that really helped is having direct access to instructors as well as a community of makers to help me get through some of initial speedbumps. If I ever ran into an issue with a lesson, I could always reach out with questions which really helped avoid some of the frustration other pre-recorded classes create. It also helped me reinforce my knowledge because sometimes I would be able to teach my peers who had gotten stuck on something I came across in the lesson. If you have any interest in becoming a better maker I strongly recommend this course!

The course effectively addressed the challenges I previously faced while learning Fusion 360. As a beginner with minimal experience using a CAD program, I quickly gained confidence and proficiency in design as a hobbyist. The instructor, course material, and projects provided a solid foundation for learning. I appreciated the incorporation of real-world examples in the lectures, which made the course more focused on design principles rather than just software instruction. The structured and purposeful lesson progression, with the repetition of elements from previous exercises, helped to develop my skills and improve my muscle memory. By the third or fourth week, I had acquired enough knowledge to troubleshoot and correct my mistakes independently. The weekly meetings were also a valuable aspect of the course, keeping me engaged and accountable. Overall, it was one of the most positive online learning experiences I've had. As a hobbyist with a garage CNC and 3D printer, CAD is no longer a barrier to my projects.
